With the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun in Egypt on 4th November 1922, global decorative design and Western Aesthetics was changed for ever. The unearthing revived a romantic fascination with ancient Egypt and it was immediately incorporated into the Art Deco movement.
This 1920’s high grade 935 marked silver enamel articulated bangle is a rare magnificence. It is a gold gilded creation with a blue and green enamel scaled accents - the movement on the bangle is elasticated and fluid. The star of the show is the two highly detailed and gold gilded profile bust Pharaoh finials.
This is a truly magnificent and rare Egyptian revival 1920's designer piece.
