Gyprock Cornice Cement is used for fixing Gyprock cornice at wall and ceiling junctions where the substrate is plasterboard or fibre cement. It is also used for finishing cornice joints and mitres.
Cornice Cement is a setting type compound rather than a drying type that provides superior adhesion with good initial grab and high bond strength.
Three different options are available in the Cornice Cement range, each with a defined setting time for varying job sizes:
Cornice Cement is typically used for substrates in residential construction. A shorter setting time is sufficient for small projects whereas Cornice Cement 90 is ideal for larger jobs, or where decorative cornice is being installed. This extended working time allows the user to enjoy a longer period between mixes, and also more time to get the finish right for any detailed areas.
Cornice Cement is available in the following sizes:
| Cornice Cement 45 | 10kg, 20kg |
| Cornice Cement 60 | 10kg, 20kg |
| Cornice Cement 90 | 20kg |
| Specific gravity (H2O=1) | 2.3-2.4 |
| VOC content (as specified by GBCA) | 2g/L as VOC content per material |
