Glenturret 12 Year Old (1996 Bottling) 70cl

A 1990s bottling of 12-year-old Glenturret single malt Scotch whisky, complete with box. The bottle i in fantastic condition and the box has some minor wear but overall beautifully preserved.

Glenturret is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland officially opening in 1763 but known to have been in the hands of illegal distillers a few years prior. In 1981 it was only the second distillery to open its gates with a visitor centre. This 12 year old from the core range was discontinued in 2003 with the 10 year old so this bottle is getting rarer and rarer. Upon opening notes of sweet fruit juice and honey, also some wildflowers, the sweetness stays with the first taste on the palate along with oak and a slight peaty undertone which stays for the long finish and becomes more gingery and fiery. A nice addition to cold winter nights.
