A good English violin bow from the fabled W.E. Hill & Sons (established 1880), original in all its parts. Stamped “58 A” above the mortise of the shaft, “A 8” to the underside of the frog, and with what appears to be an “8” beneath the mortise on the head, indicating that it was likely made entirely by the hand of Malcolm Taylor. 60.2 grams. From the hand of a retired New York Philharmonic violinist, and demonstrating qualities that cannot be spoken of highly enough.
