Cattleya trianae is a magnificent species, prized for its large, fragrant blooms. The concolor form is especially valued because its color is uniform across all parts of the flower, unlike the typical complex patterns of the species. It is a robust, medium to large-sized epiphyte.

• Light: Bright, indirect light is required. Provide plenty of air and light, aiming for light green leaves, but protect the plant from harsh, scorching midday sun.
• Temperature: Intermediate to warm-growing. The ideal range is generally 64-81°F (18-27°C). A night temperature drop of 10-15°F (6-8°C) is essential for health and flower development. Avoid prolonged exposure below 50°F (10°C).
• Humidity: Moderate to high, ideally 60-80%. Excellent air circulation must always be maintained, especially with higher humidity, to prevent issues like rot.
• Watering: Water thoroughly when the growing medium is completely dry to the touch, reducing frequency in the winter. Allowing the roots to dry between waterings is crucial to avoid root rot. It grows well in a standard, coarse orchid mix.
