As an independent country for nine years, the Republic of Texas issued its own bonds and currency. There were two issues of bonds, the first by the Government of Texas in Houston and the second series after the government of the Republic of Texas was moved to Austin. Both series feature elaborate ornate engravings and were issued in denominations of $100 and $500.
Denominations and framing may vary. Contact the gallery for more information.
The original Republic of Texas bonds are very rare. But we do have a few in our collection. Please contact the gallery if would like more information on an original bond.
