The filter shall remove free chlorine to a level below 0.05 mg/l when operated within normal operating specifications. The system provides continuous filtered water through the use of a
duplex (two tank) configuration.
System backwashes are initiated by a water meter. The water meter measures the processed volume and is adjustable.
The backwash control valve is mounted on top (on the media tank) and made from non-corrosive materials.
The control valve has three operating cycles, including operation, backwash and operating flow rinse.
The tanks are made of glass fiber reinforced polypropylene, are designed for a maximum operating pressure of 8.6 bar (8.8 kg/cm2) and have been hydrostatically tested at 20.7 bar.
Each system includes acid-washed carbon media. The media must be solid and have a suitable particle size of 20-40 mesh.
