Originating in parts of South and Central America, the pepper, or capsicum, is a widely beloved culinary vegetable. It is said that European explorers brought the pepper from the Americas back to Europe, with it later spreading across Africa and Asia. there are thousands of different pepper varieties, from sweet to spicy, green to red, and so on.
