The FiiO Q3 features a class-leading THX AAA Amplification circuit that provides a crisp clean sound amplification with ultra-low distortion and noise floor. The output is super clean. You can use your super-sensitive pair of in-ear monitors and won't notice any background hiss. The FiiO Q3 features a powerful sound decoding chip from AKM Technologies, the AK4462. It is a new generation 32-Bit 2 channel premium DAC chip that adopts AKM Velvet Sound technology. The chip offers outstanding sound decoding capabilities with a superb clean output. The Q3 is equipped with the latest generation XMOS USB signal receiver chip. It is paired with the AK4462 DAC chip offering PCM decoding up to 32-Bit/768kHz, and DSD up to DSD512 natively. The Q3 houses three headphone output ports, 4.4mm Bal, 2.5mm Bal, and 3.5mm Single-ended. So whatever termination plug your headphones/earphones have the Q3 can power them comfortably.

Along with the volume wheel on the front, the Q3 features an RGB indicator that indicates the active file bitrate. For example, it indicates blue for 16-bit FLAC files and more. The FiiO Q3 features two gain levels, high gain, and low gain. these can be switched easily from the back of the device near the USB Type-C charging port. It also features a bass boost switch for some extra power juice in the lower end.
