I also found inspiration for this artwork in Spanish culture. Flamenco dancers became the subjects for the painting. I didn't have the task of portraying the dancers in a naturalistic way. I wanted to reflect on the canvas emotion, feeling, moment. Female figures, a wave of hands, half-closed eyes, a fan and a flower - I captured all this with a light stroke on the canvas. The dark background, red and black dresses of the dancers make the painting expressive, almost passionate.
