Height: 40 cm
Blooms: April-May
This summer snowflake was selected in 1924 by the renowned English master horticulturist William Robinson and named after his Gravetye estate in Sussex. He was an advocate of natural gardens.
The plant is native and flowers from April to May. The plant has 4 to 8 milky white nodding bell-shaped flowers with soft green tips dangling happily from a long sturdy stem. The flowers protrude above clumps of dark green grassy leaves. The foliage usually appears already during the winter months, but tolerates frost. A cheerful bloomer that thrives in moist soil and is easy to propagate.
