This valve features an epoxy-coated ductile iron body, a rubber seat with standard Nitrile (Buna-N) sealing, a stainless-steel shaft, and an external lever and weight with a sealed end cushion system for an adjustable rate of valve closure.

Operation: Under forward flow, the clapper opens; as flow decelerates and reverses, the valve closes to limit reverse flow. The lever and weight promote responsive closure, while the sealed end cushion system provides a controlled, cushioned finish to the closing stroke to help minimize slam and reduce water hammer.
